The wave function equation of quantum mechanics describes that until the observation of an event; the event is able to be both a wave and a particle in multiple locations at once. Physicists describe quantum reality as multiple and mutable until observed. Once observed, all the probabilities narrow to a single outcome—wave becomes particle and the particle chooses a single location in which to exist.
